A little about me and what I can do for you..

At the age of 36 I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy and Aortic Stenosis from an undiagnosed Bicuspid Aortic Valve.  My life was turned upside down.  Since then, I have been on a journey to heal my body, mind and soul  and to reclaim my life.

Now, I want to help others do the same.  Heart Disease isn't the end of your life.  It is a second chance.  A chance to learn from the past, live joyfully in the present and to dream of an amazing future.

Through the process of healing, I discovered 5 pillars of Healing the Heart:

1) Nutrition: optimizing nutrition to help your body heal

2) Exercise: how to utilize exercise to strengthen the heart

3) Yoga:  breathing to relax the heart, poses to open the heart and blood vessels and meditation to calm the mind

4) Lifestyle:  learn to live and find happiness in life that can bring joy to your heart

5) Root Cause Detective Work and Solutions

Unless you are a newborn with a heart defect, there are many causes and reasons to heart disease.  After you know your causes, you can work on them one by one and heal your body.  Even after a year and a half, I am still finding possible new causes and trying to eliminate them as a root cause.

The one thing that I discovered is that we are all unique.  There is no one prescribed eating, exercise or lifestyle that applies to everyone.  It is trial and error and scientific too.

As you embark on your journey of healing and creating a new life for yourself, I can be your guide, sounding board and a shoulder to cry on to.

"I’m completely honoured to write this about the beautiful Jakki! I’ve known her now for only 2 months, but in those 2 months I have received so much wisdom, guidance and support! I stumbled across this gorgeous human in a heart health Facebook group where she was so generous in giving me education and guidance when I was newly diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. Prescribed with bisoprolol, but currently breastfeeding- I was determined to do all I can to heal naturally and avoid starting the medication.

Within days of connecting she kindly offered her time to talk to me helping me understand exactly what was going on and how I actually can try to heal myself medication and device free! She then sent me so many resources to check out and do my own research on. Knowing there was someone out there who has gone through something similar to me, and has done countless hours of her own research combined with her own life skills and qualifications - I had complete trust in her.

I’ve added in the some of the natural supplementation she suggested, and actively began training my heart through exercise.

2 months in, and I’ve only recently noticed how my running has felt ‘easier’ while my heart rate remains low. I cannot wait for my next appointment to see where my EF% is sitting compared to before knowing Jakki."
